CPR Course Catalog
Certification is offered through the American Heart Association or through Medic First Aid, depending upon your needs. CAL OSHA requirements are met through both the Medic First Aid and American Heart Association programs, while most healthcare facilities and healthcare education courses require American Heart Association.

Healthcare Provider BLS
Required for healthcare professionals and students training to work in a healthcare related field. This course includes one and two rescuer CPR for the adult, child and infant, as well as foreign body airway obstruction, AED, pocket mask and bag-valve-mask skills. Upon successful completion of skills and a written exam, participants will receive an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card, valid for two years.
Renewal courses are available for providers who possess a current AHA Healthcare Provider card or a current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer card.
One-on-One and On Line renewals are available under the following conditions:
- Student must bring their expiring card.
- Student must first visit www.onlinetrainingplace.com and complete the American Heart Association online renewal Part One. There is a $17.50 fee, and will provide the student with a certificate of completion. The student must bring this certificate.
- There is a $75.00 minimum for one-on-one appointments.
- One-on-One appointments are only offered upon instructor availability.
On-site classes are available for groups of six or more and do require advanced booking.
Typical Enrollees: Both student and active EMT, paramedic, nurse, nurses aid, medical and dental.
Length: Full Provider 4-6 hours depending on class size/location. Renewal takes 2-4 hours depending on class size/location.
Heartsaver CPR
For individuals and companies that require certification for any non-healthcare related field, as well as individuals seeking training for personal knowledge. This versatile course offers training in CPR for the adult, child and infant in any combination and can be combined with the AED training module as well as with the First Aid module. Course length will depend on the modules taught, and upon successful completion of skills participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver card, valid for two years. No written exam is required.
Typical Enrollees: Teachers, construction/electrical, fitness trainers, coaches.
Length: 3-6 hours, depending on modules taught.
Automatic External Defibrillation (AED)
This course provides in-depth training on the use of an AED in conjunction with CPR. Upon successful completion of skills, participants receive an American Heart Association AED card, valid for two years. This course is separate from the AED skills that are included in the Healthcare Provider, Heartsaver and First Aid courses.
On-site classes are available for groups of six or more and require advanced booking.
